Ferguson TED20 - Engine Block Coolant Drain Tap - Video Tutorial
Maintaining a tractor is an ongoing task – one of the
regular services required is to drain and refill the cooling system at the appropriate
intervals, this will go a long way to ensure a healthy engine and optimum performance.
In this video Gordon assesses the coolant tap on his TED20 to see if it is salvageable after
a clean up and refacing in order to retain the authentic look without compromising on
functionality.
'A short video showing how we attempt to save the little brass coolant tap that sits on the engine block. It cleaned up nicely and is an attractive looking part, but we know it was leaking from evidence on the block before we started. So let's see if we can get it to reseal.'
On their smallholding in north Devon Gordon, Kathy and Oscar spend many weekends working on their land and their tractors. Visit their channel for more instructional videos for your tractor: Waterhouse Forde
