Ferguson TED20 - Fitting the Cylinder Head - Video Tutorial
The cylinder head in an internal combustion engine controls
the air flow in and out of the cylinders and fuel the deployment. The head sits
above the cylinders on top of the cylinder block and is sealed
in place with the head gasket. The role of the cylinder head is to close the
combustion chamber of the engine in the top of the cylinder. Cylinder heads are designed to be robust as
they have to withstand very high temperatures at high pressure – one of the
main causes of cylinder head failure is overheating caused by coolant loss.
In this video Gordon takes us through the process of fitting the cylinder head on his Ferguson TED20.
'Fitting the cylinder head is a notable milestone and we're excited to share this with you. It's not difficult with only a few points to take care of. Join us as we begin to make the engine whole again'.
