Tractor Engine Overhaul - Ken Sims
Ken sent in details of his TVO engine overhaul of a 1956 Ferguson, and removal of the old liners.

By tapping the tick liner side 6mm and adding a plate and spacers the large nuts in the picture and then screwing down the m6 nut on the long bolt the pressure from this action pulled the old liners out of the engine block.
All the liners came out no trouble.
Once pressure washed out with a good degreaser the new liners were ready to push back in.
The new liners were held in place with large washers and 2 head studs new big end shells and pistons of which you can see 3 are fitted (parts used: Chrome Steering Wheel Nut & Washer Kit, Steering Column Chrome Cover, Air Cleaner Hose.
New valves and springs cylinder head in place and some new paint parts supplied by Anglo Agriparts
