Ferguson TED20 - Stripping The Engine Tractor Video
In this video Gordon from Waterhouse Forde strips the engine of his Ferguson TED20 tractor.
'With the engine now separated we dismantled it, removing the head, sump, pistons and crankshaft etc. We found a mixture of results - cylinder sleeves are servicable, but big end bearings are severely worn. So the engine would have been knocking when it was running. The most concerning thing is the state of the oil and the foreign materials in it. I'm really glad we didn't decide to attempt to run this engine before rebuilding it.'
On their smallholding in north Devon Gordon, Kathy and Oscar spend many weekends working on their land and their tractors. In this video Gordon and Oscar takes you through the steps to strip the engine of your Ferguson tractor, and will walk you through each process, with advice along the way.
